As an independent filmmaker you must compete with major studios to get your project off the ground.  You must understand the business side of successfully marketing your creative ideas.  This is a one-day workshop for filmmakers, writers, producers, and directors who would like to learn more about the way intellectual proper is marketed and sold.

This workshop covers the basics of product development, media trends, casting, budgeting, marketing and financing.  Case studies will be used to illustrate negotiating techniques, pitching, deal making and legal aspects of working for the film industry.  Class exercises and discussions will also take place.  Student is encouraged to bring film projects or a business design to gain insights on how to better launch them.
